Choosing a mystery to read is a peculiar problem. The genre is enormous, the shelves are crowded, and the difference between a clever puzzle and a slow-burning thriller matters far more here than it does in most other kinds of fiction. Modern Twist Mystery Books A locked room, a country house, a suspect list of six and a detective who notices the detail everyone else walked past. Those ingredients have kept readers turning pages for a century, and they still work. What has changed is what contemporary authors do with them. Modern twist mystery books take…
2026 Mystery Books A new year of crime fiction always arrives with a certain amount of promise, and 2026 has plenty for readers who like their murders tidy and their detectives memorable.
